Day 2. Gandan Monastery. Mongolian Museum of Natural History.
Day 3. Zanabazar Art Muzeum, Bogd Khan Museum. Zaisan Hill.
2. The Great Naadam Festival Tour
July 11th. The opening ceremony of the Nadam Festival. Watching the traditional wrestling and archery competitions.
July 12th. Watching the horse race.
3. The Capital Ulaanbaatar Outskirts Tour (A minimum of 1 day vehicle-based trip is required)
Day 1. Manzushir Hiid (located around 50 km away from the capital). Possible overnight stay at a local ger.
Day 2. Terelj National Park (around 80 km away). Possible overnight stay at a local ger.
Day 3. Hustai National Park. (around 110 km away) Possible overnight stay at a local ger.
4. Gobi Sand Dune Tour (A minimum of 8 days if by vehicle or 5 days if by air)
Day 1. Ulaanbaatar- Mid Gobi Baga Gazrin Chuluu (Rocky mountains with caves)- Delgeriin Choir Monastery. Alternatively fly directly to South Gobi province’s center Dalanzadgad
Day 2. Baga Gazrin Chuluu- Dalanzadgad
Day 3. Dalanzadgad- Eagle Valley
Day 4. Eagle Valley- Singing Sand Dunes
Day 5. Singing Sand Dunes- Flaming Cliffs –Saikhan Ovoo. Also possible to return to Ulaanbaatar through Dalanzadgad
Day 6. Saikhan Ovoo- Orkhon River- Kharakhorum
5. Kharakhorum Tour (flying/driving with a minimum of 3 days)
Day 1. Ulaanbaatar- Khustai National Park- Khorgo Khan Mountains- Ovgon Monastery- Bayangol Sand Dunes-Kharakhorm. (Direct flight to Kharakhorum is possible)
Day 2. Kharakhorum- Erdenezuu Buddhist Monastery– Ogiin Lake
Day 3. Kharakhorum- Tsenher Hot Springs- Orhon Waterfalls- Kharakhorum
6. Great White Lake Tour from Kharakhorum (A minimum of 8 days by vehicle, 4 days by air)
Day 1. Kharakhorum- Orkhon Waterfalls- Tsetserleg (the center of Arkhangai province). Zayagiin Gegeen Museum of Arkhangai
Day 2. Tsetserleg- The Great White Lake
Day 3. The Great White Lake- Khorgo Volkano Crater– Great White Lake. Possible trip back to Tsetserleg for a return to Ulaanbaatar the next day. Alternatively, Tsetserleg- Tsenher Hot Springs- Ogiin Lake--Khogno Khan Mountains- Ovgon Monastery- Bayangol Sand Dunes-Hustai National Park- Ulaanbaatar
7. Khubsgul Lake Tour from the Great White Lake (Possible travel from Ulaanbaatar to vehicle via Bulgan province or a flight from UB to Moron or Khatgal)
Day 1. The Great White Lake- Shine Ider Somon
Day 2. Shine Ider- Moron- Khatgaliin Lake
Day 3. Khatgal
8. Amarbayasgalant Monastery Tour (Also possible during a return trip to UB from Khubsgul Lake)
